If so, you will be impressed by our 4″ Red Oak Select & Better Rift & Quartered unfinished hardwood flooring. This flooring is made from the finest quality red oak wood, which is carefully selected and graded to ensure that it has very few imperfections such as knots and mineral streaks. It has a smooth and clean look that will bring warmth and beauty to any room. Our flooring is 3/4″ thick and has a tongue and groove on all four sides, making it easy to install. It is also unfinished, so you can apply any finish you want to match your style and taste.
What makes our flooring stand out from the rest is the Rift & Quartered sawing method, which produces a unique and stunning grain pattern. This method involves cutting the wood at a 90-degree angle to the growth rings, which results in two types of boards: Rift Sawn and Quarter Sawn. Rift Sawn boards have a very straight and tight grain, which gives them a sleek and modern look. Quarter Sawn boards have a distinctive “ribbon & flake” pattern, which is caused by the medullary rays of the wood. This pattern gives them a rich and classic look. Both types of boards are more durable and stable than plain sawn boards, as they resist the expansion and contraction caused by changes in temperature and humidity. Our flooring is also ideal for radiant heat systems, as it can handle the heat without warping or cracking.
