Product Description
Our 2 1/4″ White Oak Select & Better Rift & Quartered unfinished hardwood flooring is a perfect choice for anyone who wants a high-quality and attractive flooring that will last for years. This flooring is made from select and better grade white oak, which is the highest grade of flooring available. This means that the flooring has a very consistent color and grain, and it is free of any flaws such as knots and mineral streaks that can ruin the look of the wood. The flooring has a smooth and sophisticated look that will suit any style and decor.
The flooring is also made with a special sawing method called Rift & Quartered, which gives it a unique and stunning grain pattern and makes it more durable and stable. Rift Sawn boards have a very straight and tight grain that runs perpendicular to the growth rings, while Quarter Sawn boards have a gorgeous “ribbon & flake” pattern that is formed by the medullary rays of the wood. Both types of boards are more resistant to expansion and contraction than other types of wood, which makes them great for radiant heat systems and humid environments.
