Product Description
Our 3 1/4″ Red Oak Select & Better Rift & Quartered hardwood flooring is a fantastic choice for your home or office. This flooring is made from select and better grade red oak wood, which has a consistent color and grain across the planks. It has no knots or mineral streaks, giving it a clean and smooth appearance. It is 3/4″ thick and unfinished, so you can personalize it to your taste. It is also precision milled by NWFA standards or better, and has a tongue and groove on all four sides for easy installation.
Our flooring is also rift and quartered, which means it has a special sawing method that reveals the natural beauty of the wood grain. Rift sawn boards have a very straight and tight grain, while quarter sawn boards have a remarkable “ribbon & flake” pattern. This sawing method also improves the hardness and stability of the flooring, making it less susceptible to expansion and contraction due to humidity and temperature changes. This makes our flooring perfect for installing over radiant heat systems, as it will not bend or break.
