Are you looking for a hardwood flooring that has a uniform and elegant look? Then you will love our 1 1/2″ Red Oak Select & Better Rift & Quartered flooring. This flooring is made from the finest quality red oak wood, which has a consistent color and grain throughout. It has no knots or mineral streaks, giving it a clean and smooth appearance. It is 3/4″ thick and unfinished, so you can apply your own stain and finish to match your style. It is also precision milled by NWFA standards or better, and has a tongue and groove on all four sides for easy installation.
But what makes our flooring truly special is the rift and quartered sawing method. This method cuts the wood at a 90-degree angle to the growth rings, creating a unique and beautiful grain pattern. Rift sawn boards have a very straight and tight grain, while quarter sawn boards have a striking “ribbon & flake” pattern. This method also increases the hardness and stability of the flooring, making it more resistant to expansion and contraction caused by humidity and temperature changes. This makes our flooring ideal for installing over radiant heat systems, as it will not warp or crack.
